These works focus on family memories told to me or discovered through time. The idea of objects that we touch through generations retain a cosmic fingerprints and particles from your family through time- which also links between the maker and the viewer, this might include family memories and stories told long after you are gone.
The pots you can see here; ‘Apples & Honey’ a memory told of a road trip to Italy my grandparents took in the sixties, ‘Eat Bread & Salt and Tell The Truth’ is about another branch of my family in revolutionary Russia, ‘Wonderwheel’ my memory of the fruit of the sea mermaid parade at Coney Island in the 90’s & ‘The Spoon Maker’ which is inspired by the silver fish slice my 3 x Great Grandpa made in Georgian London in 1828 traced from his makers mark.
